I just hope that TY gives Wilson more support in central midfield.

Wilson can't do it all on his own.

O'hakam is value as a defensive midfielder but there is literally no-one else in midfield

We will be overun in central midfield with the likes of Pauton, wallis,Moore, kesiter whoever.

Time to abandon the widemen (thank goodness Quain is suspended ) and cram central midfield.

If we are overun in the midfield battle, we will be humiliated

Would that be the same 'inadequate' midfield that pushed Dover so hard last time? and lets hope that the same players who do'nt come up to scratch for this game, and obviously for any future games also, find an alternative club asap eh Training 2hrs a week isnt enough at this level......what exactly do you expect from some of them. You will only ever get out what you put in and the collective well is running dry me thinks.

I think you misinterpret my post Ronks

The inadequacies i implied were in terms on numbers. Not individuals.

I actually think the individuals are pretty good.

With Ohakam deep (and doing a greast job),and Quain(or another)and Peters both wide, that just leaves Wilson in the middle, and with the best will in the world, he cant run central midfield on his own.

I'd like to see one or two others alongside him-corbishley/gregory/stubbs/morris to protect and help him-,tackle and show tenancity - particularly against a quality midfield like Dovers.

You are obviously correct Ronks that Ashby's formation pushed Dover hard in early season-was not the midfield that day-Morris,Stubbs,Wilson and Smith-i.e mainly central midfield players who tackle and harrass the oppostion with stubbs and morris giving a bit of width as opposed to 'wide ball playing' midfield players

Others like the idea of playing the ball out to the flanks-which is fine, but at this level you just don't get the quality of cross/and or finish-so it makes it all a waste of time imo,and these 'wide players' do'nt get involved in the game so much because 75% of the game is played through the middle.

Simply my opinion-play the percentage game-less expansive and exciting maybe-but imo-more effective and positive results conducive.

Others like the 'excitement' of playing it out to the wings which is fair enough.

Obvoiously TY will make his decision accordingly-although he seems to prefer the wide players -and whatever happens, and who he selects i simply hope it gets Margate a win.

Most of us recognise its easy from the armchair

Up the 'Gate.

We have a young side and a pretty young midfield compared to Dovers so we have to push them hard from the start , the only exception is Hughes who is a youngster who will give us problems through the whole game . This is why i stated in another post we should put Savage and Ebe down the wings , they both have a hell of alot of pace this will let them get in the crosses we need then we can have Stubbs and Wayne in the middle running through and making space and hopefully conecting with the two up front . If you put Ryan and Gregs at right and left backs then these can push up with Ebe and Savage . This all =s alot of pace which is one thing that Dover may struggle with and we can push them forward and hard as well at all times . We have to win it in the 1st half or they will have the upper hand the longer the game goes on . HIT EM HARD FROM THE KICK OFF AND THEY WON`T NO WHAT TO DO . We have massive pace in our team its a must we use it .Up the Gate .

I'm with MM on this one. Although we're at home, we have to be realistic: they are a very good team and if you give them too much room, they will score goals for fun. I'd like to see us pack the midfield with a 4-5-1 formation.

Put Ohakam just in front of the back four, with Stubbs and Wilson just in front of him; Peters and Gregs on the wings; Shittu up top on his own. With that sort of system, Peters and Gregs can get forward (or put in some deep crosses), yet they both have the defensive-minded attitude to track back and not over-commit. Wilson and Stubbs could provide real bite in midfield and I would feel quite confident of a thunderbolt if the ball fell to either of them on the edge of the area.

Suffocate Dover, don't let them have any time on the ball, and we may just be pleasantly surprised.

the only thing is i don`t see us scoring with just 1 up front as the have only conceded 18 all season , we have to have Shittu there thats a must but Mo could cause a problem , i think he could upset Shultz which could work to our advantage . Up the gate .

Agree DM-you can have 4 strikers out there, but you are less likely to score with 4 strikers than you are with one, as you need a midfield to provide a service to them;and if the midfield does not function, nothing does

EBE STUBBS WILSON SAVAGE is a good pacey midfield put OHAKAM just behind them and you have your defence as well and with PETERS , YOUNG AND GREGS the other 3 at the back you have pace on the wings to push forward allowing OHAKAM to get back and get forward when he`s needed to , but hey if we get a point or 3 im happy . Up the Gate .
