Not as long as there is a profit to be made by the arms trade.

I see that Bianca Jagger and singer Annie Lennox are sticking their noses into the issue by arranging protests around the UK - have they forgoten that Britain has no clought any more since Gordon Brown has dumped us in the financial brown and sticky stuff and the pound is now worth less than a euro!

But why would Bianca Jagger and Annie Lennox worry about the state of the UK when they have plundered it to make their fortunes and now spend their time jetting off round the world sticking their noses in other peoples business.

Lets not forget who Lennox supported in the past at elections and what good they have done the country!

I totally agree that the Israilies and the Arabs will always fight each other and fight amoungst themselves, and whilst the USA funds Israil and the oil rich Arabs fund their side this will just roll on and on.

I find the whole issue of "celebs" getting involved with politics hypicritical and scrary - who voted them in?

Personally, I think both the Arabs and Jewish leaders should have their fookin' heads knocked together.

The Jews don't give a sh1t about the Arab children being maimed and killed and the Arabs are just firing rockets indiscrimately into Israel.

That speaks volumes about their so called 'intelligence' !!

............ and someone has 'complained' to the United Nations.

That should take about a month to be discussed, then !

The toothless peace-keepers of the world !

The trouble is, at various times in history, both the Jews and the Palestinians have had this area as their sovereign homeland. Both still regard it as their homeland and want to have sovereign control over it. And why would either side give up their claim?

Perhaps the country should be reformed and called AFC Israel of Palestine. They could wear Gazza's old strip???

No matter which side you actually take, there is a more worrying scenario in the offing.

Israel, surely, already has nuclear weapons. It's only a short matter of time before Iran or some other Arab country has something very similar, no matter what the CIA and MI6 tell us !

Need I go further ?

I myself have been active around the Israeli Embassy in recent days and I attended the march along the embankment on saturday . Quite a large turnout with several celebs voicing their disgust . I dont agree with what Israel does as they are funded by American Imperialism . This wouldn't be happpening if the yanks wernt shoving their weight behind Israel . Infact Israel only exists because the yanks back it .

I tend to agree with what you are saying however putting to one side the rights and wrongs of the current situation I do think in some shape or form Israel has a right to exist as does Palestine. They both go back to biblical times.

Re Celebs on marches........ not sure about that one, it probably sells a few more cd's for them.

I did think it rather strange that Obama, AND Bush both failed to condemn Israel's action.

Then again - arms-sales are arms-sales.

There are too many Jewish votes in New York City, etc. for that to happen. No US President dare criticise Israel. The US Jewish vote far outweighs the US Arab vote.
