Joseba the covers were built by the supporters paid for up front by sponsors and not a penny is owed. As for the playing surface ask the players from Margate about which surface is the better this season. Hartsdown has far to much sand on the surface and you get soaked everytime you go over and is like playing on the beech.

Where did I say or infer that money was outstanding (infact did I not say that they were paid for).

Just stating that unlike Margate everything that is done is within the meens to do so. Atleast they have tried to look after the supporters by putting some sort of cover to keep them away from the inclement weather. Just because you probably couldn't fit under them you are the exception.

I wouldn't worry, both Margate and Ramsgate will be in the Div1 South Next Season.

Unfortunately, I think Britman is right, after today's match. Dreadful game. Ramsgate were just less awful than us. We really weren't at the races... possibly the poorest performance I've ever seen from a Margate team. Based on that performance, both Thanet teams will struggle to stay in this league.

 

Re: the pitch... Although I am in no way blaming it for our abysmal performance, it really was a complete joke. The ball could not be played along the ground without it bobbling to knee-height!

 

But fair play to Ramsgate, they deserved the win. As I said, they were less awful than us. Although it pains me to say it, two cracking goals too. Look forward to the Thanet derbies continuing next season... in the Ryman 1 South.
