Thanks for the full response RTD, it is helpful.

The above quote concerns me. It is clearly attributed to Billericay and seperate to the "Heybridge scandal"
Would care to elaborate?.
Feel free to PM me if you would prefer to discuss this particular matter in private.

Re the "mugging". None of us want to be, or feel that we are being, or have been mugged, do we?
What this thread has shown, is that peoples perception of a mugging differs.

And a happy New Year to you & yours Gazza, & everyone connected to the club. Notwithstanding this current difficulty, I appreciate all the efforts put in by un-paid volounteers over a season to "make it happen". Best wishes to you all.

Well this has gone on a bit but I like many was really annoyed on Sat but i think this was compounded by the fact that we all felt we were going to go on and win thus taking us well up the league and at the time felt deprived of what we were due. On reflection I realised it was not swifts fault and i remember one or two occasions where we have had floodlight problems fortunately not causing abandonment. The re admission or refund situation is in my opinion very clear. When you go to watch sport you take the chance that the game may be called off for bad weather or injury to a player if not a team game and in those circumstances you do not get a refund or free admission. if a game is called off after travelling to say sutton would you expect to get your train fare refunded? In the swifts case they are a club with high morals and i am sure they will make every effort to resolve the problem for the replayed game but if you cant come back I doubt if you would get your money back. a solution if they do allow free or reduced entry and you cant go is to try and trade your stub with someone who is going but didnt go before and i am sure there will be a few. The main thing is to get everyone back there and get behind the team to make sure we do not have a repeat of the Walton situation where we went on to lose the rematch which many felt cost us a place in the play offs.

Any way happy New year to one and all and lets see everyone down at NL on sat to assist the team get their revenge on the other mud dwellers.

I agree with a lot of the above - while Saturday was disappointing and frustrating, I found Walton two seasons ago far more infuriating. Maybe it was the distance, maybe it was cos its was a Tuesday night and freezing cold, maybe it was cos we were 1 up then too but with only 20 ish minutes left when the lights went out or maybe cos the communication that night was appalling.

I thought the 'replay' finished 2-2, but I stand to be corrected.

Heybridge did the best they could imo, in difficult circumstances. Lets just make sure we pick up the three points in the re-arranged game.

HNY everyone.
