Southwood deceptive

For yet another time I get the attendance figure wrong at Southwood. Official attendance today was 1,082.

I would have put money on it being 650 maybe 750 extreme tops.I am surprised by this figure.

I heard JW on the radio mention 1300.Dream on matey dream on.

Incidentally (& this is my honest assessment from what I saw, though it may again have been an optical illusion). (Don't think so this time)

I thought we Margate supporters equalled if not slightly outnumbered the home support.I was disappointed with their turn-out I must say.Thought it would have attracted more from the home side. But then again, with their home crowds of 200 I suppose I shouldn't be surprised really should I? I know, we aren't much better 350-400.

In future I'll just have to add on a couple of hundred or three to my estimations over there. Ummm! Head scratching!

Specsavers appointment to be made!!

Bitterness would only come into it if was robbed or lost out by playing super football yet still lost.We did neither on the day so no,being bitter dosen't enter into it at all.

Was it supportive comments he turned on?

A mate of mine in your end said Mllins was getting the " you're not fit to wear the shirt " with 5 mins to go.

Apparently he turned on them and said that's the loudest he's heard them , them lot up the other end was all he heard all game.

Harsh but fair.

I'm sure we're in the same boat as you whereby one week we perform & the next we don't. Today was one of the latter I'm sorry to say. Bitter that our lads couldn't do as good as they have been doing lately, yes. Hopefully we'll be able to put that right in the return encounter. Unfortunately in this game there are no guarantees!

Completely inaccurate. He said something completely different with about fifteen minutes left. What you wish he'd said or what your mate wished he said however is far more likely!

True Porka and to think I spent 15minutes making that tenner I used to get in.

However, both you and me will be supporting the boys in blue next Saturday in the real kent derby.

Bring on the French.

With last years keepers pushed away, scs and matt Bowles, mullins must be thinking he will play every week,be intersting what is done about mullins reaction to us fans, with lack of money I thought youth was the way ahead. Locals, they would at least put up a battle.

One of the Margate crowd addressed Pat Mullins couldn't hear exactly what was said and Pat just simply replied that "you're not helping much". This enraged a few of our supporters.

I thought that Pat was simply trying to say that we weren't cheering them on enough in the 2nd half. Which in fairness we weren't. A lot of people had seemed to have turned on the lads wearing the Margate shirt by then, and the Pat would have easily have heard all this going on behind him.

Already been covered re why the players got stick IMO. Our big lads weren't even going for the headers. We weren't interested in being there first for the second ball. And we were so lucklustre in every department. I'm afraid the effort levels from our players were well below par, and a loyal fan has a right to tell the players they are not putting the effort in.

To be fair to your lads I saw plenty of effort from them (even if the quality was terrible), so it's not your problem. Shouldn't you be trying to liven your forum up?

Maybe Porka. Yet I believed that we were the better team in the 1st 45mins and it took a wonder strike to seperate the teams. If we had have had someone with a bit more speed, up front, I'm sure we would have gone in leading at half time. Yet it wasn't to be.

I think a contributory factor to our downfall in the second half was not just the lack of support but the fact that some were more intent on degrading the team, that were on the field of play.

If supporters want to do this (not for me though) do it AFTER the final whistle not during play. As this is when they need us most. It's alright to say to your mate next to you "it just ain't going to happen today". Yet condeming our team verbally, on mass, so the whole team can hear, however badly they're playing is wrong.

Cookie your such a [****!!****]. In one thread you say Ramsgate are going to be in finacial trouble soon and in the next thread they are fiddling the gate numbers.

why the f-ck would someone give the taxman an inflated number of gate receipts to pay tax on. No wonder your a ticket collecter and not in business mate.

The difference between the 2 clubs finances is people will support a club finacially who don't rob their supporters and their chairman is relistic with his ambition and not a dreamer.
