We were extremely disappointing in the second half - I went away from that game feeling totally deflated as going into the game and based on the first 45 minutes I was certain that we would collect all three points.

Chris is completely spot on. We get sussed too quickly and we don't seem to react to what is happening on the pitch.

In fairness I think Fermie picked up a knock but they had already taken control of the game by that point.

I assume DJ is being asked to link up play between midfield and attack when playing with Platt and Yash. It certainly isn't his natural game and clearly playing there is effecting his confidence in front of goal and presumably this isn't keeping him happy anyway?

I think we should be less fussed about keeping the three front men happy. It is down to them to keep us happy by banging in the goals.

Personally on Thursday I would move Yash to the bench and start with DJ and Platt up front together.

Let's hope for better in 2009.

lets get behind the team this coming thursday for the derby.

quick question.our landlords have a small budget but seem 2 attract players like,c.oconnor,dell,dunlop.surly we could offer more than sycob, plus we are a bigger club.

is this a case of a bad manager not being able to attract these kind of players?

if we sort the backline out i think we will be just fine..

Anon, IMO the backline is one of the best backlines we've had for a long time and is not the problem, it's the midfield that needs sorting out. Also, playing with three up front leaving us with two relative oldies in midfield leaves the defence wide open to the counter attack from younger, quicker players.
