Does anyone recall when his contract expires ?

 

I have an uneasy feeling that it is very early january .

If i am corrct-lets just hope it is renewed

Answering my own question-looked in the archive section of official site-he signed around the 25th january,so hopefully a few more matches and then contract renewed.

 

(assuming it was like most a one year contract )

Surely he's signed to the end of the season isn't he? Isn't it a "seasonal" contract rather than a 12 monthly one? (1 year meaning one season)

I can't believe a contract would expire half way through a season. Surely not?

Used to be 30th June many years ago but could now be 30th April. I believe The Gills had to extend some contracts when in the play offs one year.Maybe some one with a PFA handbook could confirm.

He's taking up far too much of the wage bill for my liking (from what I've heard). Has he really done enough in a Blue shirt? Personally, I don't think getting rid of him would be such a bad move. Might free up the budget for a couple more additions.

really? i disagree, i think he's a touch of class! he can attack and defend, and he is one of the best players we have. i know the squad is getting stronger, but its too early to talk about releasing a player of his quality. we're still too close to the drop zone...

He's definately got the talent.What I do get concerned about is his body language when he hasn't got the ball.To me he looks disinterested most of those times but that may just be his way so maybe I am being unfair to him, but from what I've seen he dosen't always seem to want to be there.

He's sure to turn it on today now having said that. Lets hope so! Its about time he took a strangle-hold of a game & dominated. Overdue I would say. He's certainly got it in him to do that.

I think today has added further arguments to my earlier point. Although it is not fair to single him out as the team were awful, Peters, again, was non-existent. Please, someone name an occasion where he had a superb game for us and I will take it all back. But I really can not remember a game this season in which I have been impressed with him.

the thing is all of the play like yesterdays match was down the left side where AQ was being used but to no effect or Arron was just losing the ball through his own fault so this left Ryan out on the right for most of the game with nothing to do because they never used him thus being subbed . In the Harlow game Ryan used so much space to open up Harlow and go on those runs we know he is cappable of doing . Tony M said to me yesterday it was ok to use the left when Jacko was here because something came out of it , nothing came out of it yesterday so they should have used Ryan much much more than they did .
