Is it just me, but do i recall reading in early season reports aswell, plus a couple more recently;about our goalkeepers being beaten by lobs-both SCS and mullins.?

 

Seems a high proportion of lobbed goals to me.

 

Is it that we do not close down quick enough-which imo is because we do not have enough players in central midfiled as we play 'wide men'

This was tried again later in the game.The player looked up,saw Mullins off his line & put in a speculative shot on goal. On this occasion though it went over the bar.

Cheers Alan, Good honest comment. Quite a few of our supporters i think questioned Jimmy Ward when he released Tako but as we couldnt afford both him and jay may Wardy obviously rated jay more. Jays goal and tako.s performance makes it look like good management to me!

my guess is the keepers will be playing to managment instructions to try and keep the play further upfiend?,not to sure about this system myself as it will leave you exposed to the lob,the= side is you can anticipate there play much sooner

and cut it out.

there is a rumour that a margate player prompted the goal scorer to try the lob more often??,naughty if true.
