Ian,all match it was extremely hard to hear the other fans voices from the other end of the field. In fact it was nigh on impossible to hear what was being sung or chanted.
I commented on this to someone today at the game.
As for hearing the Red supporters more then why shouldn't that be. Come on, you were winning for goodness sake & you know its so much easier to shout when you're winning.
Another reason might be that Wellsie might be sitting nearer to your end & maybe the microphone might have been be a little nearer to your guys than it was to ours.That too might be an explanation.
I thought (from what I could hear) that both sets of choirs were equal in voice.

To be fair, I have a very central commentary position at Southwood and while early on it seemed the Margate fans were the most vocal from the point they took the lead throughout the rest of the match it is mainly them you can hear on the commentary.

 

I also shared your observation Cookie that the crowd looked 50-50 Margate to Ramsgate so a cracking turn out for us. It did look around 1,100 to me (which is a bit disappointing I would have thought) and I even commented abuot that in the commentary as I recall.

 

Can't comment exactly on what IS says as I have him on ignore.

D ICK of the South. The game was both dire and uninteresting to both sets of fans, dont lower yourself to berating or slagging of opposite side fans on their own forum as it just strengthens their belief that you are a P rat.
