Predict' League 1 & 2 (combined) Update1

Okay you'll see that the league (when scores have been combined) shows a different story to that which you may have seen earlier in the season.

Places have changed & will change further now I'm sure as the season runs through this second part of the season & to its close.

 

For the moment though,our very own MICHAELMICHAEL leads the pack.

As you can see the bottom two kept their previous predictions & its done them no good.(they weren't doing any good with them originally) But hey! they might still be right at the end of the season. Who knows! Lets not take the "p" out of them. Okay........ lets!!

 

Still,its the bottle of scotch I reckon they are after,eh? We'll let them have their own "mini" battle at the bottom shall we?

 

Only 5 people failed to submit "second chance" entries & have been eliminated from the league.

 

p.s Apologies if some names & scores aren't in line with others. I'm useless at graphs on here. Lord knows I've tried enough times with "word".

Out of interest Cookie-where do most people think margate will now finish compared with their views at start of season ?

I'll get back to you on that Michael. Will check a.s.a.I can & give you the table as predicted by all (half-way), giving 1pt for predicting 1st all the way down to 22 pts for bottom. Then all added together. Won't be gone long.

I can't recall exactly, but i seem to think back in August ,the 'average position' of margate was about 16th, so in fact, conscensus is that we will be worse in second half of season; despite arguably more experienced players in the squad;and will not improve from our current league position.

 

Is that interesting?

Both Dannyriding & Pagey duplicated their original selections for their "second chance" selections. As an exception & as this gives them less chance than others I contacted them both AFTER Saturdays results to see if they wanted to do a second set rather than keep to their original.(Final offer)!

Pagey has forwarded to me a second set now but Dannyriding has kept his duplicated.Unless a miracle occurs it looks like he's on for the bottle of scotch. But things COULD change so its not a forgone conclusion.

Pageys amendments do NOT show the table as it stands at present but his personal choice.

Expect Pagey to possibly move up the table(or stay where he is) in the next update.Dannyriding may also move up but I doubt it.

 

There will be no more alterations allowed from now on.

15th to be precise Michael but a good memory nevertheless.Am impressed.I had to check back to find out.

I wouldn't have put them that far down myself, had I known TY was going to go out and bring a load of new talent in to strengthen the side.

I think 18th will be about right AB even with the additions. Its still going to be a hard slog to get more points on the board.

I wanted 18th (minimum) pre-season & I'd settle for it at the end of the season too.Just avoiding the drop & I for one will have seen this season as a triumph!

I don't think the threat of a 10 points deductions has gone away completely either so we must push on just in case.

Good point re: the 'deduction' Cookie.

 

maybe people have 'hedged their bets'-22nd with a deduction;14th without ,so if you go for 18th then you only gain/lose 4 points as opposed to 8 in the prediction league-serious stuff this prediction league !!
