Gate 2 Canterbury 0

Alan will probably give a more detailed report but for the time being our side included:

Savage,Morris,Stittu,Quaine,Axon,Solomon,Masade,Corbishley,

Gregory,Stubbs.

Attendance must have been around the 100 mark i.m.o.

As I say Bluegate Alan will more than likely update you on the game etc later.

Stubbs was only one who got injured, got a kick but said after game he was fine.

3 Goalies used Beresford, Nej Hussain and Alex Krunics. Am doing a report for official web site so will be on there later.

Just for the record we could have and should have had 5 tho credit to Canterbury City they tried to play also and IMO gave us a better game then Harlow did.

When you look at that 'squad';its one helluva reserve/fringe squad.

I suspect no more than 2 of them will start against Ramsgate, which seems to imply that we have strength in depth ,and a pretty good first team 'pick';so now must be the time to really pick up alot of points in the second half of the season.

We should on that basis do exactly that;but should is 'fluff'.

Will we actually do it ?

Yes, nice to see Nej Hussein around again. Never got much of a look in during our Conference South season but always seemed a decent keeper when he did get a look in.

Nej was a fantastic shot stopper when he did play he just couldn't seem to hold on to the ball that well, the thrashing we got at lewis comes to mind. still that tit Ward was in goal for them, and if we had a few more chances at there end im sure the scoreline would have been even more comical or epic depending on your outlook on football i guess.

Still a very good keeper and was a nice bloke as well.

"Jim Ward" was amongst the crowd, hiding by the light pylon near the outside catering unit.
