Billericay 4-2 Hendon

Good win today I thought. Answered a big question re: whether or not Flack and Bricknell could form an effective partnership - both were excellent today, and more importantly worked well together.

Thought we were good value for the win, Hunter did well in midfield in the absence of Dorms and big dunc impressed at the back. Both their goals were sloppy from us, but not unexpected given that we had defenders out their who were under the weather with fl.

Well worth the entrance fee today.

Some great play from the lads and nice to see Billy pick up Player of the month as well.

I see Bradley was sporting his two tone blue boots today = some fancy foot work to mess the number 4 right up.

Thought it was a good game today, definately deserved it, eventhough in the first half they had the most chancesto score, but we deserved it in the second half, but must admit, I was getting a bit worried when they got 1 back right on the edge of half time.

Thought Lynvall done well, Leon done well, my man of the match. Good to see Flack get on the score sheet again and another 2 goals for Bricknell, great build up between BWG and Billy for his second goal.

I was a bit entertained to see people complaining about running down the time by going to the corner flags, it's good to see that the management have told the players to do that, we know and have experienced why this is an important thing to do when your leading in a match.

Thought we gifted them their 2 goals but we did have a patchy defence today, with Wayne playing out of position and Neil playing with the flu. I think some people were a bit harsh on Neil, eventhough he did give the goal away, you can't expect him to be at his best when he is ill.

Great to win today. The play for our 4th goal was brilliant, a really great effort. No doubt in my mind Billy was man of the match some great touches and 100% right to the end.

Don't agree with the comment about going to the corner flag, sure there is aplace for it but not with 10 mins still to go. But I guess our defence is short on confidence to be fair it has been impossible to get a settle back 4. I think we have missed Macca bigtime.

Anyway 3 good points and up to 10th, bring on Canvey !!

Really enjoyed today. Looked very dangerous going forward and scored some good goals. I think the fourth is a contender for goal of the season, some great touches and an excellent finish from Billy.

Looked a bit shaky at the back again, which is somewhat understandable with another makeshift back line and illness too.

Onwards to Heybridge - never easy there, but come on you Blues!

You get teams go to the corner flag with 10 mins to go. Take Hornchurch on tuesday, with 10 minutes to go we kept attacking to get another goal instead of running down time. That cost us.

A very good win and one with some changes in some key roles due to injuries. With both Marron and Flack carrying the flu (apparently quite bad), this win looks even more immpressive.

I would agree with Simon. There have been some questions over Bricknall and Flackie being able to play together and yesterday went some way to putting that question to bed. Both players played exceptionally well together and when we get a full fit squad together, if they continue to play as well together, then the rest of the season could be quite an exciting prospect.

Although our two strikers were playing out of their skins, the man of the match for me was Leon Hunter. He worked for the full 90 minutes and the only real mistake I can fault him for throughout the whole game was the side foot "pass" to Billy for our opening goal.

We certainly have great attacking options as was showed yesterday. My area of worry remains in mid field. We seem unable to control games. Most of our attacks came from runs down the wing( Ferguson was particularly impressive with his runs for the first and third goal). Deane seems to have been anonymous in the last few games and ,of course ,we missed Dormer. I thought our forth goal would have graced the Premiership. By the way,I also thought Hunter had a good game.

A great start to the festive period for us yesterday. The difference between the two sides was the quality of the strikers and Flackie and Billy are genuinely ON FIRE at the moment.

I agree Leon had a very good game especially as Adrian was a bit quiet. There's some real competition for places at the moment and that can only benefit the team as a whole.

It was interesting to hear some supporters complaining about the way we closed the game down in the last ten minutes. From my point of view all you have to do is look at the results of our two most recent games and the correct course of action is clear. What it does prove though is that you'll never be able to please all of the people all of the time.

Next Saturday will be a tough game with Heybridge - they always are - but we look in decent shape and it provides us with an opportunity to keep moving the right way.

Come on you Blues!!!

Heading for corners without a doubt the right thing to do late on - while we'd started the second half poorly, we'd improved going forward as it went on and while not necessarily looking to be likely scorers, that possibility was there. Keeping the ball up the far end of the pitch was undoubtedly the best way of ensuring we didn't get a third and leave you guys having a very stressful last few minutes.

I agree. There was some disagreement in the Cowshed yesterday but if we hadn't and Hendon had pull the game back, those same people would've complained that we didn't kill the game off...

...funny some folk. Do one thing, they complain...do the other and things go t*ts up, they complain. Who would be a manager, eh?

Decent game i thought. Thought Wareham,Hunter and Bradders deserve a mention for assists as they were a part of our goals also. This win sets the Xmas period up nicely ! "If" we could just sneak a win at Heybridge then who knows, we may just be talking about sneaking into the playoffs quietly ! Heck let's 'ave some upbeat talk eh ! smile

Oh and for the record, i also thought at the time we should have gone for the jugular but i guess as fans we just wanna see goals eh ! haha.

Anyway, 3 points gratefully accepted.
