Recommended Posts

strong rumour that grays are about to up sticks and groundsher at east thurrock. Selling there ground might explain how they can afford to go full time

Why am I thinking about Telford here? One of the first conf teams to go full time a few years back, reallised it was waste of time and returned to semi-pro status having burned off tons of £££ along the way.

Moving to East Thurrock seems odd, at least when (if) we move to Bas Vegas we'll be going to a better stadium. East Thurrock and their 2 bus stops was hardly mpressive (oh and get better burgers). I assume they won't be taking the bar with them (the only thing that raised them above the morass).

It could be the start of the long mooted Thurrock United?

We went there in January, our first game after the winter break in the ESC

Pitch was quite hard, but all the pitches we played on at that time of year were, and bumpy.

Burgers were terrible - see "alternative awards thread"

Quite a small, nondescript ground as I recall, although it was easy to get to.

I think East Thurrock is only a B Grade ground so I think the groundshare story is only a myth (hopefully)

If were to move there and it became permanant I and many other Grays fans would no longer look on it as being a Grays team.
