The game started off well , with us having the 1st 10-15 mins then therest of the 1st half was very disapointing apart from our 1st goal in stopage time . Bring out the champagne what a 2nd half a fantastic strike from Richard Shittu and the 3rd was old conference quality , all play on the ground lovely touches all the way to the goal mountain and Shittu`s 2nd . After that Harlow must have felt like shittu hit the fan and kicked us to pieces . Roll on next saturday i feel much more upbeat and ready for it now . Up the Gate and Merry Christmas to you all .

Couldn't agree more Andy. Yes,we did we start out well but for the rest of the first half we weren't very good at all. Back to the old ways. Very fortunate to come in a goal up. Second half a different story again .Many players played well today. The back three were superb & Mullins made a couple of crucial, out of this world saves.

Quain is a fool to himself & should have gone earlier with his head butt. This lad has so much going for him but fouls all too often & needs to learn & quickly. If he does he'll be super.

If we can get to play like we did second half for the full 90 minutes we are going to get bigger & better results than the one today.

Line-up today showed massive improvement & is much changed from earlier in the season. Well done TY for that.

Goals: Tako's 1st well taken. Shittu's first a cracking volley & our 3rd a well worked footballing goal finished off again by Shittu.

A very satisfying day. Thanks too to Pagey (baldy) for crapping throughout the game. laugh

The last guy to come on was the Soloman mentioned on here this morning. From either Barnet or Sheffield Wednesday according to who you asked and he is taller than Shittu! Almost scored with his first touch but fell over!

His surname is something like Adeyside (I know that is not quite right but cannot remember the actual spelling!) and with Shittu gives us ridiculous height up front.

My Two Penneth...............

Generally agree with everything posted so far. We were by far the better side in the opening 20 but after that there was nothing on show from either side. Mo took his goal well and had been unlucky with a lob minutes earlier while Mullin tipped a header onto the bar superbly and also made a save in a one on one after a rare Young mistake.

The second half was fantastic value for money for all concerned, other than Harlow fans. Shittu's first was an absolute belter and his second was superb build up play from Healy and the Wilson, who dummied a shot before rolling the ball to Shittu. Mullin had time to make another couple of good saves.

The ref was very very whistle happy and there were stacks of dubious offsides plus more cards than I have seen in a game for a long time. Some justified some silly.

The first red was a straight one and went to their 7 and if that had been Premier League the footage would have been watched again and again and he could be looking at a long ban. He was never going to get near the ball and in fact, luckily, never even got near Quain. If he had there would have been carnage to follow.

Although Quain was a tad unlucky to get his second yellow, he was lucky to still be on the pitch at that point. His first yellow was for literally wrestling a player to the ground and in the aftermath moved his head towards the other players face. That is generally a straight red.

The final red was another second yellow but by this stage anything could have happened as Harlow seemed to be losing the plot.

Player-wise, it would be hard for me to vote against Erskine for Man of the Match. Bearing in mind he is a forward by trade the number of spot on tackles he did were phenoemal. That is not to detract from any other of the good performances but he stood out.

Seems we all saw the same game Steve.Makes a change eh?

Erskine & Young both brilliant.Hard choice for M.O.T.M for me, but yes probably swaying towards Erskine.Super tackles & all fair too.Dan Young is worth a fair few quid now without doubt.

Yes, sounds exciting. Seems like TY's strengthening of the team is just what is needed. Glad to here Peters further up the front (I presume he was pushed up from earlier posts) and with two big front men and Mo as well it looks like the goal; scoring problem could be solved. And solid at the back-roll on next week.

Play offs anyone?

What a differnce Harwood made to the defence has obviously got class but Dan Young to me played even better with someone with ability alongside him. The second and third goals were pure class, and I felt a buzz in the crowd, first time for a long time. Great confidence builder before the two huge xmas games.

In case nobody has mentioned it, we played wingback system until towards the end when Tako was replaced by Morris, then it was 442 until Quain departed.

On that subject, I thought he was very lucky still to be on the pitch, because the earlier shocking tackle followed by a headbutt looked like two yellows within 5 seconds. I don't care how skilful, if he can't control himself he is no asset.

MOM? Well Young was massive as the single centre back, but the pass straight to the oppo in the second half should have cost a goal. Erskine also very competent, but I would go for Harwood - did everything right, looks before he passes; even his pressure clearances go to his own players. Also has a good brain and lets the other guys know if they are out of position.

Regarding Robinson, he didn't look too bad. It wasn't a tackle or anything. Perhaps just a pull and taken off as a precaution. He was on the left of the 5-man midfield, replaced by AQ.
