Well, we know his plans are fecked...!

Taken from another forum...

Hi there everyone, I would just like to confirm that the plans we originally made to reform as Edgware FC have changed. Unfortunately because of the lack of suitable grounds available for sharing in the area & the fact that some people were apathetic to Edgware's plight has caused us to re-think our plans.

We are however still going ahead with a new club, but until our agreed plans have been signed off I can't reveal anymore.

The fact that FA guidelines prevent us from being called Edgware FC, when we will be in a completely different location some 40 miles away made us realise that we needed to look at the bigger picture. That said we have got some very exciting plans & have a large number of people who want to be involved in this venture.

The story on Nonleaguedaily.com which I presume was taken off this thread is incorrect & I will be contacting them to remove it from the site.

I do believe that the former Chairman of Edgware Town FC still has plans for them to be competing next season. We wish him good luck & hope that the Edgware name can once again become a great name in Non-league Football.

Hope that clears up a few issues.

Cheers

Well there seems to be alot of interest concerning me on various threads, about who I am & what my CV is.

Just to clarify to those curious, that I've been coaching at various lower level non-league clubs for a few years now. I've had a little bit of success (not much, but a few cups & a league !)

I was Asst. Manager at Buntingford Town & also at Stansted, before they went really tits up & started getting stuffed by Bowers & the like !

Last season I took charge of Cuffley FC for the last 8 weeks of the season, when they had no players & had been in the bottom 2 all season. I managed to get a team together, even played a couple of games myself & got them to 4th from bottom. More importantly, a number of lads I've worked with have gone on to play at higher levels of the pyramid such as conference & Ryman prem levels, I'd like to think I've had some kind of minor input into that at least but you never know.

Some of you lads from the forum particuarly, Smallsy & Trenks may remember me, when Alan Penfold & myself took the ESL Xl at Hornchurch a few seasons back. Smallsy, are you still using those hair straighteners you tart ??? lol

With regards to the situation at Edgware, it didn't quite go to plan, but there will still be a new club next season & I'm proud of that. & NO I WON'T BE DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL !!!

It's a bit daft having a title like that when we will only have 1 team to start with & I would prefer to be just known as a Manager or coach.

If any of the Concord lads want to know anymore, I hope to be at Saturday's game where we could discuss further over a pint after the game !

Cheers
