HARWOOD IN LOAN MOVE TO MARGATE

Posted on: Tue 16 Dec 2008

Liam Harwood will this week join non-league Margate on loan.

The defender could make his debut for the Ryman Premier Division outfit as soon as Saturday when they take on Harlow Town.

Liam has struggled to make an impression on the first team at Rovers so far this season, and hopes to gain some valuable experience whilst at Hartsdown Park.

The loan move is for an initial one-month period, and officially starts on Friday.

Was at Carshalton, and is a very good young defender with a couple of years Ryman Premier experience. Made the jump to the pro ranks in the summer. Remember Joseba asked him if he fancied joining last season.. your wish is granted Jim! If this goes through tomorrow as planned then well done TY on a great piece of business.

Maybe its not confirmed yet GT ?

The bristol report does to be fair-say-going through on friday.

I note Wellsies pre-match report on the official site does hint strongly at a new signing though.

When does/has Erksines loan expired i wonder

Lets just hope its confirmed then-and we are not gazumped by someone else at the last moment.

Whats particularly interesting to me on this one is apart from the fact that by all accounts this guy has quality, that its not an obvious connection.

Ok -the guy was/is previously London based, but a loan from Bristol to Margate is not an obvious one when miost loans occur 'locally'.

I wonder where the connection /contact lays between margate and Brizol rovers FC ?and how it came about

Not at all DR

I'm pretty happy now we have got an albeit temporary central defender.

As i said-not essential priorites, and totally agree with you re;Budget constraints.

Having said that; it does seem that TY is fundamentally reshaping the squad, and i have a feeling that despite what it seems we agree on; Harwood won't actually be the last addition in the next couple of months

For me though-from now on-anyone else is a bonus.

the budget could be better should the club actually do things rather than leave all the hard work to MISA

Firework night

player sponsors

Match sponsors

are just 3 which are easily done

A unrelated main sponsor would had been good, but to secure one it takes time and effot
