have you ever at half time ever seen a referee offer the oppositions manger into the refs dressing room for a chat???

Yes and have been asked into referees room at half time also, they dont like to conduct coversations on the pitch which I think is fair enough.

Many years ago I was on the line in a friendly between 2 local sides. one side had a player manager and he was fuming at half time, remembering it is a friendly, and stormed up to the referee and said "Right I am coming into your dressing room at ht to sort this out". The referee said "No problem but you will be starting the season with a 35 day ban". Very funny. Anyway it all depends on the circumstances of the game and the chat that is had but I do tend to agree with PB.

Our Assistant Manager was invited in to the Referee's changing room at HT in an FA Cup game this season which did him and the club a favour as he was quite excited over a few decisions and was calmed down by the Ref in private.

Good refereeing in my view, if the referee has got an issue he'd like to resolve a nice quiet chat can sort many problems and save clubs fines ect at the same time.

Thanks for your input lads, it happened to us vs staines in the cup just though it was a bit weird but i have never seen it before
