I'm afraid I'm still in the "wallowing in self pity" phase at the moment

Self pity?

 

Well if that is how it comes over then I apologise for mysef and others who thought we had the "chops" to get through to the next round. I would rather say I was sorely dissapointed that we didn't. If that comes over as self pity, then so be it.

 

Anyway, whatever blues I had (excuse the pun) over Tueday have been blown away by my departments office Xmas party and as much red wine as I can humanly consume. Now all I have to finish is the programme...BTSA notes should be worth a read...red wine, a relaxed attitude and a "self pitieous" (bugger the spelling) attitude should make for a interesting read.

I know from past experience that copious amounts of Red Wine & t'internet do not mix well for me

 

I took it that the Chairman was sugesting that the self pity option was maybe an understandable reaction, in the circumstances, but not altogether constructive.

 

I didn't see it as an accusation; more a rallying call. Hence my comment that, personally, I'm planning to "snap out of it" by Saturday

 

So you still got a Xmas party? Christmas has been cancelled by my employer. No annual wage reviews, but "at least you have jobs to come back to after Christmas". Our US office has just implemented a salary reduction to all staff as an alternative to redundancies.

 

Could do with a couple of wins over the festive period to cheer the soul.
