Doubt if your snow compares to my friend Julie from Detroit's.

She's a flight attendant (aka air stewardess) on Pinnacle airlines but doesn't really understand 'ball games'

Well, not football/soccer ones anyway.

She'll be in my Hitchin kitchen again soon - fussin' as per usual.

Incidentally, at the Pogues concert I went to at the Brixton Academy last thursday a fight broke out in the seats behind me.

 

Nasty stuff.

 

The protagonists were a couple of women in their late teens/early twenties.

 

Shane McGowan didn't notice though.

 

He just kept growling into the microphone and acted as if he'd had a few 'sherberts'

 

Whiskey in the jar/Fairy tale of New York/Irish Rover went down a storm.

 

I'd also like to point out that the Pogues support act (Urban Voodoo Machine) are very good.

 

They're described as 'Bourbon soaked gypsy blues bop n' stroll'

......but I appreciate urchinettes prefer mainstream bland stuff like Oasis and Snow Patrol.
