Well I wasn't there last night, but I think the reason that against Staines (and plenty of other sides this season) we've struggled against high balls into the box is that we're not a physically big side. Heffer, Dunc and Dorms apart we are not going to win any headers against big teams like Staines (and going on previous meetings AFCH). It's arguably in this respect that we've most missed Macca who in my opinion is the best header of the ball at the club.

Not sure if you have played Hastings yet, but check out their number five - his throws are incredible. If you want to check them, go to the Hornchurch web site and then look at the video of their first goal. It was an amazing throw.

On the subject of HFC's Billy Coyne, when he took a throw in at Margate, from just inside his own half, the ball went out at the other end for a goal kick.

I am a Hornchurch fan that was at the game on Tuesday. Basically I think you are a good footballing team. Two things that go against you imo, you are a small team so any long throws/long balls and you are in trouble and lastly you haven't got anybody that likes a tackle, once we started to get stuck in your players went missing.

Dormer and Styles, what a great centre midfield combination that would be. One complimenting the other.

Good luck for the rest of the season

i said tuesday that the turning point in the game was when elliot styles went in hard on dormer just before our first goal.It seemed to wake the whole team up and dormer who had controlled the game before that suddenly went missing.Once we realised that we could out muscle you(after 80 minutes) there was only one team in it in extra time
