You need to be close to Basildon United to really understand what goes on.

 

It was put to me by a previous Bees manager that sooner or later, you get to understand what is going on at the club. Then you have a choice to make:-

 

a) "suffer the sh!t" or "ship-out!"

 

A lot of very good people have shipped out over the years and those who choose option a) allegedly stay around until they ask one question too many, usually about money and then they are shipped out or leave because "the straw breaks the camel's back!" I stayed until the straw came along!

 

There'll be another manager along in a minute who wants/needs a chance at Level 5 and off we go again.

 

Still the next one in won't have to do up the ground or the changing rooms as BigBadBuddha and Garymo have done it all for them.

Your right Hookster, I have heard a few things regarding this which I will keep quite about at the moment.

 

But after playing there only the other week, I would have to say the ground was looking the best I have seen it in years and their league position is hardly a disgrace so I would be very, very supprised if Colin just walked away.

Listen to Hookey and Beeswax they have a long history with the club and know what goes on behind the scenes.The trouble is there hasnt been a manager thats left and told the truth about why they left,so the next manager goes in being promised the earth not knowing the true facts about how the club is run.

As Hookey said its all about money and the owners are not really worried about the actual fotball side of the club,

I feel sorry for whoever takes over as they will be given a load of b******T like all the past managers and will be sold down the river like them with false promises.

We had first option on the job but the offer has been politely declined...one day when you'll have a new ground there could be a chance to become a Bee..a stinging one!!
