Thanet Times reports he's joined Tunbridge Wells on a three month loan - he scored for them in a 7-1 win at Slade Green on Saturday.

Tunbridge Wells are happy to announce the loan signing of Margate forward Luke Coleman for the next three months to cover for the injured Wes Tate.

 

Luke trained on Thursday night and looks to be a very good addition. He played for Gravesend and Northfleet scoring goals in the Conference before a move to Margate where he continued to score before a serious bout of pneumonia in early 2008.

 

The 21 year-old is delighted to be able to re-build his career at Tunbridge Wells, and the club is very grateful to Terry Yorath and Neville Southall for the speed of their assistance."

 

I'm pleased for Luke and hopefully it will turn out to be good for MFC too.

Macca said it took him two years to completely get over his pneumonia, perhaps Luke is the same. Playing regularly and scoring as well may be just what he needs. I would like to see him come back to us restored to the impressive player he was before his illness.

Well we all see things differently,but i thought he rather lived on his goal v Chelmsford in his very first game for margate;and whilst only seeing half the games- i obviously saw the wrong games -as i did not witness any of these impressive performances.

 

Interesting info re: length of recovery time though-maybe just maybe he will, afterall turn the corner at Tunbridge Wells and comeback a decent player-i wish him well.

 

Hopefully, any saving on wages may help that nice Mr Yorath sign one or two quality defenders

Continued to score!? Did he? Completely agree with MM. Lived off of an impressive debut and good goal against Chelmsford and very rarely, if ever, did anything else. One that we would do well to see the back of.
