Slough v AFC Totton

Recommended Posts

This game is due to be played at Holloway Park on Tuesday.

However SYCOB are down to play AFC Hayes there on Monday evening.

Considering that SYCOB's game was called off today due to the weather, what are the chances for Tuesdays game and what condition will the pitch be in if the Monday game goes ahead?

Fairly even game where both sides had their momments although they did show why they are at the top end of the leauge at times, but we held solid and picked up another point against the top of the leauge.

Defence showed a continued improvement, and the midfield and attack worked hard.

Overall, a clean sheet and a point was fair reward for tonights performance.

Thought that we defended really well. Special praise must go to Rory Smith who I thought was fantastic at the back with Allaway, Eamonn, Fenton also not far behind.

Yes, at times they had a lot of the ball, but they are top and never created a clear cut chance all match. Closest was us to scoring with a Bubb volley and a Pritchard curler.

Keeps the unbeaten run going as well. Just one little thing though, would have liked us to play the ball in midfield more tonight as at times we were a bit 'hoof it' tonight but were moving it the right direction it seems.

Looks like the team have gained the confidence that has been missing for the last three or four seasons, now I feel that we are in with a chance of getting a result no matter who the opposition is in this league. Shame that our inconsistant early season form may have cost us the chance of a playoff place.

fair result

Totton had more of the ball but we were never really struggling

defence for slough was rock solid

jacko organised the defence superbly always talking to the defence

shame we didnt quite link up the play enough in more attacking areas. did tend to try and move the ball forward a bit too quickly at times for some reason rather than keep the ball and wait for the right pass

hard to pick out a MOM really. if i picked one i'd probably say Fenton but it could have been of Allaway, Smith or Fermie as well. McConigley and Sonny were good too.

For a 0-0, it was a decent game, played in foggy conditions.

You could see that confidence was up, even in the times that the ball just pinged from defence to defence like a tennis match.

What was suprising was that with one team in bright pink, and another in bright amber, you coiuld not tell them apart in the fog.

Well done, for a well deserved point

If my photos come out, they will be on my site tonight
