sports personality of the year

My vote goes to Neil Warnock.

He's the *only* person in sport who has a personality.

All the rest are just bland, boring and predictable imo.

Incidentally, talking of 'Betfair' my pub quiz team buddy (Jeremy) works for them (mainly on the horsey stuff) and contributes to their web site (and provides betting/racing commentary) on a regular basis.

Will see him next tuesday (at the pub quiz) to see how the bets are 'spreading out'

:-)

Aisnlee Harriot? Him of packet soup fame?

Just another BBC carve up imo.

They've made a mockery of the Eurovision song contest and are now just doing the same with 'Sports personality'

It's little wonder that UU declined to go on one of their shows a few years ago. Fair play to him for standing by his principles.

Can't say I know what Hoy got up to during 2008 - but perhaps the women voters fancied him or something.

Where did Jane from Tunbridge Wells put her 'X' is what I want to know.

I used to look forward to this each year, when it was known as "Spots Review of the Year". They used to show lots of sporting highlights from throughout the year. Nowadays, presumably because the BBC don't actually show any sport, it's just become a glorified reality TV show.

I backed Hoy at 11/2, I backed Joe Swash at Evens to win Im a Celeb and I backed Alex at 3/1 to win Xfactor, hows about that. When theres phone voting involved you can never be sure that its fare though.
