I believe it was either his knee ligaments or cartliage that was the original probelem-maybe i've been watching too many medical programmmes-but what specifically is he having done.

 

I don't understand these things, but seems to be quite a time lag between injury and operation-maybe its that way to fit in with his work as i guess he'll be on crutches for a few weeks.

we sometimes forget these guys have other lives and jobs outside football

 

Whatever, hope it goes well and a full recovery,but guess thats it for the season though.

BGA and Joseba-you are absolutely correct that threads should stay on topic-and notwithstanding my half hearted apology within my original post for straying mildly off thread re:Yianni , i again apologise unreservedly where it has obviously troubled you both.

 

In return, can i seek the moderators reassurances, that whereever a post deviates in any way from the original thread, it will be immediately deleted.

 

I was not aware that you actually had to like the subject matter of a thread in order to post it.

 

Indeed-was there not a post yesterday remarking how interesting it is that some threads deviate from one subject to another.

 

Like the team we all support, maybe we all suffer similarly from inconsistency from time to time ?
