It says Government advice not ruling! Dosen't mean it CAN'T be done surely?
Anyway, why can't they sort that lot out AFTER its been built.Similar to the roads around an already built Westwood cross.Despite many more objections to the shopping centre this council still decided to go ahead & build the thing. So why are we to be treated differently?
I'm afraid this council don't WANT us to succeed therefore Frankie, forget what I said yesterday on another thread. Say what you like about them with my blessing even BEFORE the committee meeting. I'll "ditto" your words.I don't think it matters how we go about things, rightly or wrongly this council don't want to know full stop!
Being nice ain't going to cut anything I feel. Its about time this council was made to pay & be accountable not only about this episode but for all other mis-managements they have been involved in,including ripping this town to pieces.
So how can that be started........anyone?.I'm ready to give it a go!

we should ask the council what they want to do as regards to building a new stadium then they can put there own plans through pass them then we can commence with phase 1 . Really though i am starting to think that its never going to happen , how many knock backs does it take to make you realise that that the council don`t want a football team at Hartsdown . Its about time someone owned up from the council offices and came clean as to what they really want to do . They must be the only council that are not willing to do anything to help there club along , all other teams get assistance some how from there MP`s as they see its a way of an income coming to the area , how can they not see this its utter stupidity on there behalf . FOOTBALL IS THE GAME THIS COUNTRY INVENTED , WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO STOP THAT IN THANET . Up the Gate .

At the open meeting when Ezekiel sat next to Malcolm he was asked why was it that Dartford can have plans drawn up and a new stadium built with the council blessing in half the time that we have only got to plans sitting in front of the council.

He just said that he did not know.

Well the real answer he should have given IF HE WAS A MAN OF HONOUR was that he does not want to see the club here as he does not like nor trust Keith Piper.

Maybe I should offer Ezekiel a back hander to help the club and we will see how fast he supports us.

Just gets odder and odder to me.

Surely your architects/planning consultants get an initial 'steer' from the council prior to putting in the submission as to what they want and chances of acceptance.

Otherwise, not much point in paying out the money for trhe application.

If it realy is in contravention of local and national guidelines that must have been known from the onset.

I just can't get my head around it-as some other posts suggest-you ask initially what is likely (ok -not guaranteed to be acceptable).

A big part of it if I'm correct. No Medi centre no Lever possibly.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Okay,I've had my say today based on what I read in the local today & I certainly got a lot of my chest thats for sure. Its also safe to say I haven't been a happy bunny today.I even kicked a granny of my train (only kiddin' grannies',only kiddin')

However, since my rant & my damning of the council I have been in conversation with certain individuals(no names)& I can now say that maybe I was being a little bit hasty & slightly unfair too soon. Mind you I'll stand by my words about the Westwood cross. That I cant forgive(or the Turner Thing).

Big backtrack on my part I know but I am satisfied enough now, without giving any guarantees or going into further detail,to want to revert back to being more positive than I was earlier. Can say no more than that but staying calm seems to be the best way to go at this time. The council might yet surprise us all! I'm saying no more.

I believe you may be correct Jaykee, but just a matter of needing the medical centre to go ahead to provide funding for any other build, albeit, trusting that somehow this does get through one way or another; i still see the development of the ground as a long way off, but at least we would have an income stream to support to day to day operations and survival of the club
