No decision has been made yet. Planning officers can only recommend to the planning committee (grasping at very very small straws).

IMO I am sure that our elected councillors would be minded to take the wider view of the immense value of this proposal to the community.

phone your own councillors and tell them the importance, if they all get calls then it must help our cause

like the shops at Westwood Cross were built close enough to the town

Re the medical centre only then maybe the Hartsdown councillors,and copy your own coucillors to keep them informed.

I thought that the med centre was considered with the councils approval and the DVLA driving centre dropped. And what the hell is behind bus services having to be re-routed, they,re not building it in the middle of the road!!! And as for parking how many people do they think will be visiting it at any one time. Look at the traffic at a home game its hardly massive traffic jams and thats on a Saturday. The road isn;t that busy at any time of the day.

The case officer (Thandi Zulu) says in the paper it should not go ahead because the Dev Co had failed to find a site closer to town and that the application does not comply with goverment advice, Kent Structure Plan policies or the Thanet Local Plan, whatever they are!!!!
