What the hell going on ! Steve Browne you must be joking . He can run a p--s up in a pub . Ask any other chairman that, he has work for. He has had big money in the pass only to mess it up. I have alway try to support the chairman , but this time no way . One man for the this club is George Borg . If anyone out there can come into the club and help us please,please,please,.Come.

Every scenario will work if the correct intentions are applied.

At the begginning of the season we had Adam Lee, SM, and Mike Smee all sticking there knowledge in, I think this had a big impact in player instructions and indeed players coming and going having only appeared in training i.e too many cooks in the kitchen.

AL and MS stepping aside has left us with SM and since the change we've improved from very bad to average in respect of results.

Now with a proven source as a number two (the old saying is that if the number 1 is good then his number 2 is brilliant), a good 90mins at Harrow, a couple of returning players plus and I hope a couple of more very good signings through the Browne contact and we might see a charge up the table.

A good pre New Year run and We've some very winnable home games after the new year Concord, Witham, Ilford, Forest, Hillingdon, although a big gap has developed an amazing run can still surprise us all.

I might be clutching at straws but history has shown that the clubs who finish stronger succeed more than the clubs who start stronger. Sorry Gazza-another bit of PMA (i like that)

Steve was manager for me at Aveley and when he was there he only had the same budget as previous and the current Manager. Personally I always got on well with him and don't really have a bad word to say about him. He had some unfortunate problems in his personal life which led to him eventually leaving Aveley and the split could have gone better but that was due in the main to people he had helping him at the time. I too doubt that he had a great deal of money at Potters Bar, but I would expect Clydie Roberts and others to be on the way to you soon. Good luck to him I say.

I picked on this herberts pre-xmas comments from this thread but could easily have selected a couple of others.

Whats your opinions on SB now everyone? Has he made a diffence? I'd say he has. Has he improved the playing syaff and standards? Yes again. Is there optimism? I think there are loads. Plus he has played a part in something that should have been done ages ago and thats out with the old in with the new.

I crossed paths ith Steve Browne this week and ended up having a long long in fact very long chat with him and my only contribution was to ask 'Whats the plans?'.

Steve spoke about developing many things at ETFC, from creating a combination of College schemes and footballing opportunities for our college aged players, to kicking off community schemes in the borough (about time), to far many other things that I'd have time to mention.

He also tells me we should have a top defender at the heart of our defence on Saturday to cover Woolf's/Tickners/Stevensons departures and Wilds suspension.

Before anyone comments on Steve Browne anymore I would suggest that all supporters chat casually with him after any game as he is not only a hard disciplinarian with strict code of conduct rules both on and off the pitch he is also very approachable, knowledgable and only too keen to tell any supporter what his vision at ETFC is.

Well done SM on bringing him in and guys and dolls we have the management team to lead us to promotion if not this season (SB will be disappointed if it is not to be) but certainly next season in time for the Town at Donkey Lane.

Thanks for the best wishes, as our club and its good intentive board deserve a promotion. Yes I got to hear of his contacts going pro too, just from his enthusiasm and passion for footy is a huge breath of fresh air

No disrespect to Steve Browne but aren't these the sort of developments that the club has a board to deal with. Why is it being left to the "assistant" manager to deal with ??

I'll believe it when I see it happen.

Can't everyone just be positive for a change??

Good work EU, from a spectators viewpoint (which on the most part I am) you keep the spirits up on this forum single handedly much of the time.

Glad to see people are starting to be won over by the current management team though. Compared to the stagnate, ageing squad that was in place last year, we now have a younger, fitter and more vibrant squad that likes to play some good stuff (excluding Remy's petulance last week their discipline is much better also). For me Noel and Mckie are the best full backs I have seen in a Town shirt for some time (personal opinion, feel free to disagree) and Edgar has been fantastic on the most part since his arrival. Deane seems to have a new lease of life at present and the additions of Mckoy and Roberts are improvements on previous/current centre-mids (especially the one who likes to get sent off) duel

Here's to 3 points tomorrow and closing the gap between us and those playoff positions - keep the faith!! drinkies

Do you refer to the board thats developing a new stadium off Carterhatch Lane???????

I think you call it delegation in the modern business world with somebody who is capable and very able in seeing throuf=gh a positive scheme(s). I think credit should be given to a first team coach taking on the responsibilities not questionng it.

While I am minded to agree with your last sentence, I'm with EU here. I suggest everyone should set aside a few hours(!) & speak to SB and let some of his enthusiasm rub off on you.
