Well,are we all going to get our christmas present?.The one we would all like above all else. Council approval on our planning application.!!!. Well I certainly would anyway.

I've been reliably informed this is due up in front of the committee on this date 17th December.

Fingers crossed please everyone. Deep breaths & pray!

Co-incidentally our court case,adjourned until yesterday has further been adjourned again until,guess when? Yes you got it 17th December.

Now I'm assuming KP has managed to get the initial payment in to the taxman & that this is just normal procedure. I'm not in the know on this so can only guess..Anyway we'll know soon enough I should think.

Going back to the planning application. Here's hoping for some good news this time from the council.

If we don't get some "good" news from those that decide things then we might yet again be in the s***.

As far as I can see everything is hanging on their approval, so Frankie,for one week,even if its JUST for one week, please be nice to them there's a good chap! smile

what? no one ever went to Dreamland... The Gills average 6,000 per home game, 23 home league matches a year, that like 138,000 people a year...

so having a league football team is better for the town in terms of tourism than that derelict theme park, and therefore my point (which i probably should have attempted to explain) is that the council should have tried to help us out back in the conference days, instead of screwing us over, because we could have brought in more people than Dreamland would have been able to do...

The planning meeting is not addressing directly the survival of the football club though,and a stadium build;

It is surely this time addressing whether a proposed building-medical centre-and associated business plan and needs of local residents should proceed.

To be fair to the council-it can only make its decision based on the validity and strength of that medical centre proposal.

Its looking promising though with councillor Ezeckiels `letter of support.

Does anyone know if there have been any letters of objection during the 6 week pre-planning period-if not-again-looking good ?

They know what they are doing Michael.
No go ahead,no development,no paying off the taxman,no club. Well....not as we know it anyway. Simple!
In a line of events they most certainly ARE putting our club at risk.
