Totton and Truro give us a boost!

A big thank you to AFC Totton and Truro City FC for helping us along after our draw at Beaconsfield. Totton and Truro could manage a nil, nil draw only on Tuesday night. Proving that we are certainly in tune with the teams at the top of the table. In the last week the league has produced a number of draws at the top showing the league is proving stiff competition! We are only 2 points behind leaders Totton and are equal on games.

Definitely shows the importance of us not losing at Totton last week. They know they still have to come to Stag Meadow. Hovis is right though this is going to be a tight division all the way. This Christmas period could be defining. If we can maintain our good run, a gap could appear.

Its a long hard season and i dont think until around March time the league will honestly start to show its true form. But i think if we carry on like this we can win it.

I bet you see at least one team appear from nowhere (like Windsor did last year) and throw the top six or so into disarray. It really does show the importance of not losing to the teams at the top. Two draws doesn't seem half as bad as it felt after the Beaconsfield game now, I guess come february we shall see how the league shapes up for the final assault on the title. Best result possible between Totton and Truro, fantastic!!!

I think this season could be quite similar to last. I reckon the top 4 will start to break away now, there is already a bit of a gap appearing.

 

One thing is for certain every game is going to be like a cup final between now and the end of the season.

cast your memory back to this time last year and the position we were in then!!! in the second half of the season we did a lot of damage and just missed out on the playoffs, if we can repeat that form i beleive we can at least finish in the top 2-3
