Taken from Kentishfootball.com:

MARGATE boss Terry Yorath believes new signing, Richard Shittu, will scare the living daylights out of defences as they bid for Ryman Premier League survival, writes Steve Wells.

Debutant Shittu came off the substitutes bench, 58 minutes into Saturday

How flattering that you see us as a nation rather than a town.

Thankyou

Flattered by Ramsgate being a country? That statement proves its own point!!!

It's just wishful thinking though, mace - we'd be able to set up a VERY vigorous entry visa system then.

But we will support you with your drive for independence from the state (although this will also include separation from the UK benefits system I'm afraid).

Good luck in your new quest, Ramsgatefolk. Hope it is achieved before 'This Morning' starts, or I fear lethargy may be all the fledgling state will be fighting against.

I believe those that voted for an independent town council should be the ones that pay the extra council tax I am going to be forced to pay. Goodness knows how much independent country status will cost me.

I do agree your suggestion for the leader of a Independent Thanet.

I second your suggestion Bluegate Alan. "Frankie is the man to run it.

"Frankie", will your first act be to nationalise the club,

2nd act be, free booze in the legion payed for by Ramsgate gate receipts. Sorry guy's my miscalculation, that would mean only a 1/2 each.

Any other policy suggestions would be well received.
