Maybe TY will have some new defenders before then ?

Interesting you don't advocate playing Tako against his old club-although maybe he will be released beforehand anyway as was'nt he only on a months contract ?

Hopefully Peters will also be fit to take part as well

The equally important matter of a must win v Harlow before then

As u can tell I quite rate this fella, would scare the cr ap out of most teams and maybe we could bully the Ramsgate players for a change - gonna be a physical game methinks!

Obviously lots of favourable things being said re: Shittu which is great if he and the club can become bedfellows.

I can't help wonder why if he is 'so good' why he has been doing the circuit at ryman and below level for quite a time without making the 'breakthrough'.

Maybe TY can bring the best out of him and help him on his way to even better things ?

Re: the striker situation.

Personally, I don't think Tako has done enough to warrant a longer contract. For the most part, he has looked like his former self: disinterested and, in all honesty, lazy. I think we would do better to try and hang on to the likes of Healy and Shittu (haven't seen enough of Savage to comment).

Perhaps pairing Healy and Shittu (both big strong lads) could prove a real handful for opposition defences. Let's bully our way up the league!

How many of those were from the penalty spot? And he's playing in a struggling team at the moment, and he's only scored one (I think) for us! Unfortunately, as we don't create a glut of chances every game, we need a striker who can hold the ball up, bring others to play and simply contribute more to the team's all-round play than Tako does.

think it's early days to be getting rid of players we no in favour of one who has only played apprx; 30min.

it has already been pointed out he has travled a fair bit.

with regards to mo,there is nobody in this margate side who can hold the ball better than him, this is one of his assets, not the quickest i agree, but the ability to work in a small space cancells the speed bit out.

he has the goals to prove his ability.

Shittu, whilst making a good first impression on Saturday could be anything. As mentioned elsewhere why hasn't he played at a higher level before now?.

Admittedly he was impressive in his first outing but I think we have to see more of him on a regular basis to really know how good he might be.I don't think we should be going over the top about him just yet but if he can re-produce what he did in his short debut then yes,the signs are good.

My team for Harlow would be :

----------Mullin

Peters---Young---Erskine

--------Ohakam

Stubbs----Wilson----Quain

Healy--Mo Tako--Shittu

Subs:Robinson,Beresford,Morris,Gregory,Pratt.

Nothing against Morris cos' I think he did well on Saturday but for me Peters is a better option back there. I've always thought Peters in midfield was his best spot but on this occasion it might work in our favour, with Ohakam sitting in midfield to cover for both Peters & Quaine should they push forward at anytime. Mo Tako i.m.o.is a decent target man & will lay plenty of balls off to the other two front men & our midfielders coming forward.

Quain, despite his wonder goal on Saturday still needs to impress me.He does have that super left foot though & if he can get down that wing & actually take on the full back(he's good at that & needs to believe in himself more at doing that).

Hopefully his goal on Saturday will have lifted him & he might now start to show what he is capable of. He does need to cut out those silly needless free kicks he gives away so often though, especially when tracking back.

Iam looking forward to this derby Game folks it will be the Highlighlt of a poor season so far,for us (for both teams i feel) no idea what teams will be, like you we have 2 games before that,...so things may change, but a good crowd of around a Thousand will be great, so bring it on.....good luck till then

Just to stir things up a bit,how about:

Mullins

Morris Young, Erksine Robinson

O'hakam

Peters stubbs Wilson Gregory

Shittu

subs:quain,healey,tako,beresford,wheatley.

sole striker, but Peters, stubbs and wilson can all score if ball is laid off to them.

I like a sole sriker, but has to have the right credentials and by sound of it, Shittu has.

Just having more strikers on the pitch does not necessarily mean more goals-often just confusion and the opposite

.

Played right, a sole striker can secure the team lots of goalscoring opportunities, and you keep midfield and defence strong at the same time

(assumes corbishley out for most of the month ).
