Theo Walcott was named 2008's BBC London Young Footballer of the Year at an awards ceremony on Sunday evening.

The England international was shortlisted with Victor Moses of Crystal Palace and Nathan Elder of Brentford but his dazzling performances for both club and country ensured that he scooped the accolade to cap a fine year.

Interesting did'nt realise Elder had such a progressive year.

We all know that nathan was going to be a big character at Brentwood and he has definately proven this.

I didnt realise this either but it just goes to show what quality the non-league has.

Well done to Nathan, wish him all the best and hopes he keeps up the good work.
