CCL Next season

Does anyone know if they are actually enforcing the threats and bombing certain teams out of the league?

 

On Saturday we had the misfortune to play at Chobham, full respect to the people that work hard and run the club and they do a very good job but the fact remains that they shouldnt be allowed in senior football with that pitch and facillities!

Had a long chat with a guy from a Surrey Elite team. His club want to join the CCL Div 1. They have permission for lights and are trying to raise the money now. He also said he had heard that 3 clubs from the Hellenic are pushing to move over into Div 1 next season. So it could be an interesting summer.

Binfield, Ascot and Englefied Green Rovers. TBH I think that was fairly common knoweldge CC.

We are at the wrong end of the county for any interesting news to filter through to here!

I have to trawl through most of the garbage on here to find anything remotely interesting!

bisley have already applied i believe - binfields first option is promotion into the hellenic premier

Bisley will not get in as they have no chance of floodlights and I know that Binfield are fearful of the traveling if they go up.

Hellenic Div 1 East has 18 teams.

Ascot are top.

Binfield are 5th

Englefield Green are 14th. (ground-sharing at Egham?)!

 

No personal probs re any of those though I'd be concerned re another groundshare, esp at Egham, who have some pitch problems at the moment (mind you there are a fewlike that)!

 

MOAN TIME!!!

I would like to see our league's OFFICIAL WEBSITE up to date on a regular basis.

The league should get the unofficial one on board as it is easier to navigate and more up to date!

I understand Englefield applied last seaaon and the CCL accepted them only for the Hellenic refuse to let them go. They do play at Egham.

 

I am sure the CCL would happily update their website more often but I guess it is finding someone to do it for them. I am sure they would be happy to have you on board CC to help them.

Ascot are a good side that have been together as a group of players for a few years now.

Trying to remember from my local paper, they recently got the approval for some big improvements at their ground to enable them to move up the pyramid (floodlights/new pitches/clubhouse, changing facility improvements etc).

It is a big local club with the number of age groups there through from the juniors to the senior side.

Great set up at Ascot. They have all the permisson needed to progress but I think their junior section may well suffer a little because a vast number use the facilities on a Saturday morning and with the work that needs to be done they will not be able to do that going forward. Hopefully they willl find other locations and carry on.

CC - completely agree with you about the CCL website. It's rubbish. No wonder a lot of people used to use our site to check results and the table.

I didn't know there was one for that so probably not! We did win a couple for the programme though.
