Ground Regulations

Have been asked to put some ground regulations on here after the problems with an individual at Staines game and comments made on here since. (being the moderator of this forum)

The Safety Officer also said that what happened does not reflect anything to do with the "Choir" who, to their due,

have toned things down when asked last season and have caused the stewards no problems at all this season.

______________________________________________________________

All spectators whilst inside the ground, must comply with any directions given to them by the police or any steward appointed by the club.

Anyone using threatening abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or may be provoking a breach of the peace, will be removed from the ground.

Anyone using any of the above towards the referee or assistant referees will also be removed from the ground.

Margate Football Club will remove from the ground and inform the officers of the Kent Police Force, any person who does not comply with regulations, or whose presence is a source of danger or is causing, or is likely to cause, annoyance to others.

Hope this helps now and the stewards can get on doing their job as instructed.

Many Thanks

Most stewards are untrained and to expect them to take charge of a difficult situation is not fair to them, it could lead to them getting injured seriously if they do not know how to handle it.

The lack of stewards amongst away supporters is very noticable,

and the foul and abusive language goes on unchallenged, the safety officer needs to get priorities right on this.

Lets hope the stewards are covered with insurance should they get seriously hurt, Quality training required.

Peter Cove is officially an :

Occupational Health & Safety officer.

That's his trade, but he is helping the club out for "free" on matchdays. A volunteer! I think that's worth taking into consideration I think when knocking him and whilst I enjoy the banter on here I do think he deserves a little more respect than he seems to be getting,in all seriousness.

I know Peter well & he wouldn't get involved unless he felt it absolutely necessary or not have good reason to.

He is doing his job. No more! A bit of appreciation wouldn't go amiss i.m.o.

In my book, the club are lucky to have him and he does his job very well under a lot of provocation at times and, as Tony says, voluntary too.
