Weymouth FC In More Trouble

Recommended Posts

According to the NLP, Weymouth have stopped all direct debits and standing orders, are loosing 30k per month and can not guarantee paying the players after December. Some players are leaving now and there will be a mass walk out when the money stops.

Getting knocked out of the FA Cup by some pub team from Essex did not help apparently.

The F.A. must put pressure on them to pay up. I think they are still in the trophy, surely the F.A. cant let let them take money from away games and not pay their visitors if they are drawn at home.

Bastrds are quick to act if someone's floodlights dont work.

But for the grace of God ...

Not wishing to make excuses for them as they should pay what they owe but sadly Weymouth may be the first in a long line of dominoes that will fall over the coming months. Players should think very carefully before they jump ship as all NL clubs will be belt-tightening and the grass may not be as green as they think on the other side.

The irony of that statement is simply astounding.

What with you being such a supporter of non league, I would have thought you would have done the decent thing and let Weymouth keep it as it could be crucial to their ongoing survival.

I wasn't making a comment on my club Jay. You are correct by the way. Things could be better but it is who you listen to.

Just stating the irony of the post originally made by UU.

I believe that Mrs Gregory in Oxford is still waiting for her windows. grin
