I noticed Yellow Army chatting about the Canvey squad having most of the real players. However when I looked there was only 1! is this coz my computer recommends small database only?

 

And what if I was to try with a large database, anyone in the same situ tried this.. I only want to run English League (all 5 divisions). Will it be impossibly slow or will it do untold damage to my laptop- already I've had a few fleeting problems if the screen lays idle for too long... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

MKJ! Yes it is because you are only running a small database. When running a small database only Jukka Ruhanen well appear as Canvey's only 'real' player. Switching to a large database will reveal all the other players and those at other teams too.

 

If you switch to a large database with just the five Leagues then it may slow down slightly, but hopefully it wouldn't be noticable. I shouldn't think it would do any damage to the Laptop, I've had no problems with mine.

 

What problems are you having if the screen lays idle? Are you sure you're not running a Screensaver?! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> If it comes up 'This Program Is Not Responding' just leave it. It will eventually get to the next day/week etc. I had problems like that with CM-00/01 on my old PC.

No screensaver, eventually the screen will return to normal windows and if you then click on bar at bottom to return screen keeps flickering black and blue, takes 3 or 4 attempts to access... I'm not running any other programs.

It depends MKJ on what speed your processor is.

Anything below a Pentium 3 600 and you will have trouble running CM4 at an acceptable speed.

I'm still playing CM3 and can easily run the maximum players database and 12 leagues.

Unfortunately my PC is only a Pentium 2 366, far too slow to run CM4, although hopefully I will soon get a faster processer fitted into my current PC.

I have a Pentium 2 as well and i want to get CM4, currently i a playing 00/01. Will the game work at all on a pentium 2 or will it be really slow?
