tsf - how come as a step 6 club dorking are in the senior cup and not the premier?

NLN, it's due to the time you send in the affiliation forms to the SFA, at the time Dorking where at step 5 and had not been relegated therefore they have to send it in as a step 5 club. If they are still in Div 1 next season they would then be in the Premier Cup.

If dorking are still in div 1 they could still play in the fa cup next season?

Yes TSF, they would be able to play in the FA Cup next year in Div 1. I think obth Westfield and Frimley Green both played in the FA Cup for the last few season while in Div 1, am sure if I'm wrong they will soon correct me.

Apparantly the Surrey FA are not overly keen about us playing in the FA Cup as we dont have senior status.

They will not be able to stop you unless you drop down TC. Step 6 is in the pyramid and providing you have the necessary facilities then you will be allowed to play.

I know they cannot. You would have thought that any county FA would be proud to have teams from their jurisdiction competing in such a competition.
