A welcome win indeed, but i'm realistic enough to still see that consistency will come with the return of a few of the long term absentees in the near future.

Good to see Deane scoring, I dont think he has had a great season (who has?) and hope this kicks him off on a goalscoring run, a blank sheet was welcome too. what was our line-up today? Was the midfield Jones/Dauti? and was Hammond partnered up front with anyone?

In my view that side is probably the strongest we have available to us on the day. Admittedly we played against the poorer of teams in our league, however, thankfully, from what i'm told we deservedly won 3-0 and it could have been more. But no way should it allow to cover our cracks up.

I think the back four should remain as it is, however Bastian will be missing following his sending off v's Billericay (idiot), hoping we have a steady replacement available.

When finally available, Stephenson could anchor a 5 man midfield allowing Dauti and Jones less defensive responsibility and Hahn and Deane flanking with Remy as a sole striker, the formation would actually resemble a 4-1-4-1 formation, but the personel, are needed. Hopefully Crace and Allen are not too far from fitness either.

Hammond and Marshall are two fine off the bench players to have.

We potentially have a very good team, if they stay fit. I'd like us to experiment without Rudi for a few games, we have been too dependent on him for many seasons now.

Anyone know when the absentees are due to be available again?

Healey came on for Deane, rather than Marshall, now that I think about it. Was a decent performance against a fairly average side, but you've still got to put sides away, and we did. I was impressed with Jones - despite being critical of him in the past - he can definitely play, it's just a question of whether he can keep a lid on those rash tackles. Fantastic pass for Deane's first goal. I was impressed with Hughes in the first half too, who did a lot of running, and held the ball up well, although I think Remy may be a better longer term option as we'll come up against sides with much bigger / more dominant centre backs.

Wild and Keogh have been excellent in all the games I've seen them play, and we now have a team that isn't going to get pushed off the ball / lose aerial battles, especially when you think that Stevenson is likely to come back into the side. I too would like to see him in holding midfield, as he can defend, and has a good passing range and ability on the ball.

All in all, a decent performance - I accept that we have some problems we still need to fix, and that the league position is not good, but there was nothing wrong with yesterday.
