Not long got in but from what I saw we had the first 20 minutes and took our foot of the pedal and gave them far too much room to play, Richard jolly showed his class with two relatively soft goals (second goal pat should have done better) but whatever TY said at half time seemed to work.. The Subs were shittu and Stubbs and from what I have seen of him (man mountain is a good description) we took the game to them and made them look ordinary. The highlight for me was our EX striker Max Power being subbed first half with a very suspicious injury, and sitting on the bench looking extremely Sad (couldnt think of the word that would suit). Second half after the subs we were and did play better than I have seen us play recently and if we can just sign Shittu or maybe loan him for a bit longer then we have a good chance of staying up, he never let go of anything and was a danger to their defence from minute one. Aaron quains goal was superb, top drawer and totally deserved as he seems to play better when under pressure - subbed by Savage who in turn went for goal a good 30 yds out and if only it had dipped a bit more three points would have been deserved. In summary the last 30 minutes of the game we looked like we were a side to be reckoned with - WD the lads one and all, and maybe the next home game we could just sneak a win!!! (who we playing next home game).

A good game today against a team that will be near the top of the league at the end of the season. They could have got 3 or 4,but the GATE could have got 5,in the 2nd half IMO the GATE were the better side, this being when Richard Shittu came on and scared the life out of Carshalton,we had so many clear cut chances but could not put them away, the best chance falling to Kenny Pratt, who at that time could have won the game for us but for some unknown reason maybe took his eye off the ball in front of goal and missed his kick, all in all a good game, pity about the att:seems to be getting less and less each week,WHERE are you MARGATE FANS,dont stay at home listening to the game come down to H.D.P and be that EXTRA man.

Hear bloody hear!

Whatever your qualms against a certain person, whether justified or not,to help this club survive & to try & get us back to the heights we once had we need stayaway fans like yourself there on the terraces.
This person you talk of is,I know for a fact,(irrespective of how the situation has arisen of late),himself, keeping this club going. He is putting in a sizable amount into the taxman on OUR behalves on Tuesday & that shouldn't go unnoticed. Without his input on Tuesday we wouldn't have a "next" game. He has made errors I'm sure but he's giving his all right NOW for a club he truly cares about.Yes, truly!
How about those staying away biting the bullet & doing their bit by joining with us in giving this fine club a sporting chance. PLEASE!
