Prices for next season

Which groups of people do the "Concessions" apply too?

Unemployed, OAP, Students, U16's? Taxpayer here but thought it was worth trying to clarify.

When queuing last season I remember a couple of people being turned away because they were after a discount with their Student ID's. They were told at the time that the Club didn't offer discounts to Students. Is this correct?

With reference to the family tickets, why not have a "Kids for a Quid" policy if they are accompanied by an adult.

Given the cost of Premiership football and the fact the Club is looking to increase attendences - most families with mortgages to pay for might welcome a cheap, entertaining afternoon out.

I trust the Club will be putting flyers in the Reporter for Season Ticket applications? Aldershot Town already have downloadable Season Ticket Application forms at:

http://www.theshots.co.uk/seasonticket.doc

Not that I'm suggesting you buy one!

These are all things the Club needs to do throughout the close season if the Club is serious about increasing attendances and raising the profile of the Club within the local towns.

I think the answer to your question is no, there are no discounts for early purchase this year. I don't mind paying another 10 quid and at least we have untill August to raise the cash. I think it would be a good idea if the club offered half season tickets as there seem to be so many people who go to virtually every game but obviously can't afford to pay up front for a season ticket.

All home league games, friendlies and reserve games.

FA Cup, FA Trophy etc are pay at the gate as the FA get a cut of the receipts as do the opposition and probably Stevenage.

Like I said, I wasnt complaining - and last year was a good deal - just that the increase for people who bbought early last year is c40% - only £110 last year and £155 this.

Its still a fair deal though, given that you would still only have to attend 16 of the 21 home games to cover the cost meaning its a 25% cost saving on paying at the gate.

Just a slight aside, talking of season tickets. A mate at work went to the Inter v AC cup game last week. He's an AC season ticket holder (£133, yes, thats all). £15 for a cup ticket, plus £29 return flight to Milan and £40 for food and drink. Total cost of a warm spring evenings football in Italy, £84. Cost for me to freeze my nuts off in Scarborough, Doncaster, Halifax, Southport, Morecambe etc, £90+.

Where's the bloody justice. confused.gif frown.gif confused.gif frown.gif
