hello urchins, thanks for your assistance in building up interest in the basildon united website and im happy to report that the local paper are soon doing a feature on us.

i now need to ask one more favour on behalf of my club as we seek to increase our local profile.

have a look in your pocket what do you find? thats right notes, fivers, tenners and scores. dont panic im not asking for a cash contribution, no what i want you to do is something which will take you seconds,cost you no money but could be a real boost for our club.

did you know that every monetary note is passed hands over 900 times before it is replaced by the bank of England,bearing this in mind all i ask is that to help us publicise our website you write the website address on every note you handle,

take a twenty pound note and write the address along the the top of the note where adam smith is featured on the reserve side of the Queen.now turn the note over to the Queen and put a 'speech bubble' next to our majesty and write 'up the bees' in the bubble,feel free to give the Queen a pair of specs or possibly a moustache just for comic effect. thanks for your assistance in my new marketing exercise,UP THE URCHINS!!!

P.S. i should point out that defacing currency is a serious criminal offence and therefore me and everyone at Basildon United fc would like to totally distance ourselves from this idea.
