F A Cup is rubbish

Hornchurch "O"

De-Matteo gets Manager of the Month for league one.

Obviously the F. A. Cup doesn't count for anything.

MK Dons knocked out at home to Bradford 1st round.

Orient go to Bradford and knock them out 2nd round.

Orient (Who have been crap) unbeaten in November (5 wins 1 draw) including 4 away wins get nothing.

Orient clubhouse is one of the best in the country even if a bit on the small side.

Always prides itself on it's Real Ales.

Has guest beers in every week from all over the country.

Holds beer festivals on a regular basis and has won numerous CAMRA awards.

Ah yes.

Presumably away fans are allowed in - or CAMRA card holders at least?

Tickets at SUFC go on sale next monday. Shame the match clashes with Hitchin v 'Steeple Bumpstead'

...........But I'm a definite possible.

Incidentally, the crib captain of one of the promoted teams from Div 2 of the Hitchin & District crib league is an 'O' of long standing (he's 75 ish by the name of Dougie) and lives in Stevenage.

He's captain of the Marquis of Lorne team who were champions. Perhaps you know him?

We (the Half Moon, Hitchin) finished 3rd - but beat them 3-4 at their pub.

:-)

Times are hard oop north.

In actual fact, because of the 'Christmas post' it was first come first served with the Orient tickets (as opposed to a sliding scale of 'loyalty points' whereby season ticket holders get first preference)

However, I expect there'll be a few thousand Blades in and around West Ham/Leyton looking for some friendly banter.

The Baaaaaarnsley (aka 'Dingles') will just add to the mix.

Anyway, here's my tune of the day: 'Dance On' by Kathy Kirby.

The video is a modern interpretation. Filmed in Australia with aussie urchinettes, I do believe. :-)

KK had the best female voice ever - except perhaps Amanda Lear.

Word is that Barnsley are bringing 5000 to West Ham.

I just hope that the East London plod can differentiate between a Sheffield and Barnsley accent on Jan 3rd.

Rumour also has it that the ICF are on the lookout for peeps with a South Yorkshire accent.

Hopefully, the 'Dingles' from Barnsley will be the only ones caught up in any fighting.

Doubt if the ICF (presumably they have a Hornchurch branch) could tell the difference between a Sheffield and Barnsley accent either though.

It'll all pass off peacefully enough I'm sure.

Gone are the days of violence.

It's all prawn sandwiches and corrupt business men nowadays.
