Totton match tonight

Well, a point well earned. We started much the stronger and if not for the paint on the post would have been 2 up in as many minutes. By the end of the half Totton were looking stronger, although both teams were pushing for another goal.

The second half Totton looked stronger, we tried the long ball a little too often but when we passed the ball we looked good. Totton had the better of the chances and some great saves by Bullivant kept us in it and earned us a point in what was a very entertaining match and we showed the fight and spirit required to acheive promotion, well done lads now lets beat Beaconsfield and take it to the next level. Oh, and one more thing WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE, SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!!!

Have to agree with everything you said Fuzzy and we are top of the league as Truro lost to Gosport 3-1 at home!!!

Rob made some great saves last night! I said before the game i would be happy with a draw and i am. Its a long hard season so a win for either side wouldnt of really done alot of damage either.

 

If only when we hit the post from more or less the kick off it went in! 2-0 and i think we'd of won it. Ho hum...Bring on Beaconsfield and the Windsor Old Boys!

I was very impressed with their supporters as they clapped both sides off at the end and quite a few of them were saying 'Well played Windsor', something you don't hear too often nowadays.

Yeah some of their fans were fantastic and had a chat as we was leaving.

 

However the barman who shouted at us for putting up our flags really needs a lesson in Public Relations! He could of asked kindly and we would have done it without batting an eyelid!

I chatted to few of their fans at half time and on the way out, very nice bunch and very grounded for a club that has had a lot of success recently.Nice to hear them singing as well, although if only they could have sung at the same time LOL!!! The few of us that made the journey did our best to be heard and managed not to fall of the end of the world behind the goal in the second half. That was quite scary!!!

But how could they go up with a ground like that, they must have a lot of work to do, be a shame as they seem quite a nice club and get good support.

Oh, and why does everyone seem to think we are big time charlies, over the past few years i have heard it quite a bit. Considering our lack of success in the past 10 years (or longer!!) I wonder where that comes from?

Poor Ground but a fantastic club house and by the seems of it social side...if only we could have a clubhouse like that!

Not too keen on the net stopping you from watching from behind the goal. And the locals won't even let you hang your flaqs from it!!

A share of the spoils away from home to a side challenging for promotions looks good on paper to me! Shame I never got to it though...

 

I'll be driving to Beaconsfeild tomorrow. I'll go to the Stag first. If anyone should need a lift be sure to speak to me in the Stag. First come, first served!
