Didn't enjoy our first half peformance at all. Different story after the break. Great individual goal from Bradders; I'd love to see that on Youtube! And great to see Flacky getting a hat-trick.

Good to make progress in a competition I think we should make every effort to do well in. We've scored 4, hit the post twice and been unlucky with some very dubious refereeing decisions when well placed so pretty happy.

 

Interesting to see the performances of some of the players who haven't been starting regularly of late - Flack and BWG both starting to get their sharpness and combined well up front. Thought Wayne got better in centre mid as the game went on - was on the receiving end of some pretty poor challenges but kept going well and made some good runs into the box. Not sure that the other guys did enough to force their way into consideration for the starting XI on saturday.

I agree with simon there. wayne definately got better as the game went on. never stopped running.

Dormer made the team tick with his passing and calmness on the ball. some great runs from BWG and flack up front gave the enfield back 4 a hard time all night and was half the reason there player got sent off, out of pure frustration.

Heffer won everything at the back but i am not too sure about dumas as a centre back, definately prefer him at left back. although i did overhear grant speaking to the secretary at the start of the game about sam west not being signed on for last nights game so couldnt play, so maybe that was a last minute decision to put dumas there!

 

Good win and some great abuse for enfields number 5 all game. he was our best player, think he got 2 or maybe even 3 assists!!haha

At 2-0 we were comfortable than had the wobbly bit, but once the third went in that was game over. Ludicrous bit of cheek from Bradders - I was shouting shoot shoot everytime he beat a player but heck he has to go and be greedy and shimmy past 6? players in total to tap in grin

 

Flack was in that poaching mood and the run he made to connect for the 4th showed the difference between the two sides. Surely another starter for Saturday.

 

I agree, Heffs is a stalwart and does his job in a non fashion accessory way and i think because he goes about the job in a straight forward way sometimes we forget what he does for the team.

 

Anyway, well done to ALL the team on a reasonably warm evening smile

I thought Jamie Dormer had a great game as did Steve Heffer, Joe Flack(especially in 2nd.half),and Bradley. Dave Wareham covering at left back just couldn't seem to distribute the ball. Harrison Chatting was a big disappointment after showing promise in previous appearances.Solomon Henry did not help his cause but I thought Frankis looked good during his brief appearance.

Where was Rikki Burbridge?

ISTHMIAN LEAGUE CUP - THIRD ROUND DRAW

 

The draw for the Third Round of the Isthmian League Cup will be made on Friday, 5th December.

 

The draw will be first published on ClubCall at 9.00 a.m., and then afterwards on the League website. Matches are to be played week commencing Monday, 6th January 2009.
