It was monday 2nd January 2006,a month before i joined from GWR, in a league home match vs Eton Manor(1-3).You went down the left flank near the changing rooms and Steve Reading kick the ball out of play with a strong sliding tackle.Your mum said something to him and he told her to go and make a cup tea,instead of moaning.They all had a go at him including your dad that said something to him.End of,nothing was said apart that I took the piss on them on the Manor forum about it...we decided to meet at the airport but they didn't turn up...

Then at the next game we played you when you were in charge you refered to the game in which Reading put it on you and myself and Kirk responded. You then approached us to apologise.

 

It's a shame Kirk doesn't come on here anymore but I know someone who will and prove what I'm saying!

If you have had the decency to look at that thread in the Eton Manor forum at page 12 top of the list,you might have noticed that I had a go at your lot because there were 4 of my u'16s playing that night and i could attend it because it was monday night and didn't clash with the GWR ressies game played on tuesday that week.I didn't say anything on the pitch to Steve Reading because he didn't argue with me but with Oggers'mum and I didn't even knew his name.Infact,when i wounded you up on that thread i even called him williams!Anyway,the bottom line is:in that thread you frightened to do me in the next games but nothing happened...and you didn't take the offer of a big fight on neutral ground near the Coliseum where i went on holiday that month..do-er and say-ers ....and think about.. I stuck out for your lot after every referee in this land was hammering you with yellow and red cards even for simply breathing in the dug-out!What a cheek and i thought you was a mate....

Have been reading this with some interest and was on the Manor bench that day.Not the greatest with dates and times but remember the game well as Chester scored a rare wonder goal to put Manor in the lead before Van Hammond sealed things after bulldozing his way through the entire Hullbridge team- correct me if i'm wrong.

Anyway there was a ruccus with Redders over by the club-house following a tackle and things were getting heated.I remember because one minute Jimmy Reading was chatting to me and next moment Kirk spotted him in the crowd on the far side.Redders was getting involved with the crowd and the Hullbrige management were giving him a lot of stick and abuse.This seemed a bit unfair as we felt Steve had tried to play the ball and unfortunately the Hullbridge player had been injured-(the Manor Physio even helped with the injury).Hullbridge coach

carried on with his verbal attack towards anyone on Manor bench and Steve in particular.Eventually Kirk pulled him to one side and had a word with him saying how Steve's dad was an ex boxer and was getting upset about the amount of abuse Steve was getting.

I was with Jenko and Kirk after the game when Hullbridge coach apologised and said something about knowing the Reading's came from Canning Town and not wanting any trouble-as you can imagine we found this funny.

No agenda on this just the facts to back up the incident as a whole did happen.
