A great 3 points yesterday against a strong side i think they were second in the form league, with us at the top!, so thats a huge victory. Did struggle to get going at first but overall i think we created the more clear cut chances.

These 3 games, yesterday, tuesday and saturday, will be the true test of our abilty to win this league. Win all 3 and it will be a fantastic platform to build on!

We were very lucky I reckon. The first half Bridgewater were getting up our end more than we were getting up theirs, they just couldn't finish. But just before half time and through the second half we seemed to take control. It amused me that the army started singing "you don't know what you're doing" to the ref for a decision that went our way. I haven't met one person who knew what the penalty was about. The last minute goal looked very messy from the other end. Totton and Beaconsfield are going to be tough.

I think it fair to say up until the penalty they were by far the better side. But our midfield seemed to get a grip of the game after that and we had two or three chances befor ethe end of the half and they didn't really create anything. The second half saw them push forward and we used our wings well and chances down both ends could have a larger win margin for us or a reverse of the result. We have to realise they were a very good side and we didn't concede, our defense looked good, and not for the first time this season. The problem was clearly holding onto the ball in the middle of the park, had we had Seeds or Willow I believe we would have looked more comfortable from the start. Joe looked stronger on the left and despite all the joking Cahill did the required job in the middle against a well organised and strong opposition. As for the penalty, just don't know and it seemed to knock the wind out of them. Although the ref was not very good all through the game, just ask Coyne about his booking!!!!!! Totton will be tough as will Beaconsfield, but these are the teams we have to beat to win the league, and we are good enough to so lets give it our best shot and get ourselves in our rightful position at he top of the table. Come on you Royalists!!!!

The next four or five games will show if we have what it takes, but we look good at the moment. We just need to be up there come the new year and we will have played every team at least once so it will be a fair representation of our position. I really hope we don't lose a couple of key players cos that could really test our squad strength.Losing one of the centre backs, Coyne or seeds or Chenns for a period of time could dent our hopes. We struggled at times in midfield as we weren't putting our foot on the ball and we looked considerably weaker without Ben up front with Chenns. It showed when Ben came on that we looked a lot more dangerous, and also Bruce filled into the midfield very well when he came so maybe our midfield does has depth but I would be very worried if we lost a central defender, a striker or our keeper. We are a good side and have some depth but luck could play a big part in our success concerning injuries.
