Sutton Forum, The Paul Shave appreciation society

Digger The Cat

I like Paul. Always ready for a chat after the game and has scored a couple goals for us already in his short time with us. I dont know about his history in the past and i dont want to. He has not made a bad tackle since he has been with us and has picked up a couple of bookings for nothing except for his reputation from the past.

In fact, to put my money where my mouth is, i will sponsor him and will see Jenny on Tuesday to sort out payment.

Put this on your forum Sutton. Give you something else to grizzle about.

I can understand their feelings. Remember back to the incident when Shane Oakley was clattered last year and we were all outraged.

Their goalkeeper was not 100% fit and still made some good saves before the incident with Paul Shave.

It was an unfortunate incident in what was a very competitive game.

I've got alot of time for Paul Shave. When he played against us for Billericay earlier in the season he was one of the players who stayed in the bar well after the final whistle despite the fact that they had been thrashed 4-0.

Most players would not have wanted to hang around after a result like that especially at an opposition ground but Shave stayed until well after 7pm taking the banter from some of our younger fans in good spirits.

Seemed a really approachable bloke.

ha ha...bunch of whinging BBB charlies.....led by old lederhosen morris dancing gareth.....yes mate it was a pity I wasn't there...oh how I would have enjoyed it...smile

I have seen the full video and there is no doubt that it was an unfortunate rather than deliberate collision...its hardly shavesy's fault that the keeper was carrying an injury is it...? a yellow was harsh in my opinion having watched it all in slow motion but that won't stop the ex conference fans from baying...

not too happy about westie being barracked again as its water under the bridge now and he was one of the best players I ever signed at the bridge and played well for us before the grays tracksuit nonsense which I know he regrets......we really should let that particular 5 year old incident stay behind us....I am concerned however by westies obvious attempts to get his players to wind up paul.....steve never was the brightest pin in the board......grin

3 points and we move onwards....sutton have always been an arrogant bunch of fckers except for a couple of them that actually do get it.....conference to ryman prem....its real...get used to it....yay

was the away directors box full by any chance...grin

Totally agree unc, Westie was one of the better players, who I have seen pull the old red and white on.

I am shocked by Paul's reputation, I was expecting someone kicking people off the pitch like the 70's. Not so, a competative midfield player and a good edition.
