Our Matchday Programmes

Just feel it worth mentioning that I think Steve Bull does a great job with our Matchday programmes and a little note of thanks on here wouldn't go amiss.

 

Always a good read and I particularly liked Jeff Trice's article on "Loyal Servants" (Trice's Tens) in the Staines Town programme yesterday.

 

Brought back some nice memories and good to see those who might be called "unsung heroes" mentioned. They will always be an important part of Margate FC.

 

As will Steve's programmes and Jeff's great website.

Great programmes, really good content. One small gripe: not enough space for us sad stattos to write the team changes. The best progs for team changes are those with a full alphabetical squad list (+ spaces for new additions) with boxes to write the shirt number. A shame because our progs are best of all for stats.

 

Oh, and another small gripe, any chance of getting rid of the grey smudges behind the writing, because it makes it really hard to read on dark winter days.

 

Anyway 10 out of 10 apart from that!

I do agree with your gripes Chris but once you get it set it is time consuming to change. Having said that I have just had a tweak with the cover and have created a bit more space between the player names and the team names to make it easier to put changes in. unfortunately the advert on the back page needs to remain so it does limit things a bit.

The grey smudges are frustrating as on my screen it looks nice and clear and stops a page being dull. I will try to make them a bit more transparent.

Great programme. Great history site. Very lucky to hsve those two guys who do such a good job.
