Billericay Town 1-1 Maidstone United

Goalscorers were: Bricknell for us on 72m

Saunders for them on 76m

Attendance: 505

Good game i enjoyed it and good turnout for a cold, extremely wet afternoon. We have conceded 1 goal in our last four games in all competions that is a fantastic turnaround and we looked quite dangerous at times today and should have won it probably.

It is a shame to have taken the lead to then lose it 4 minutes later, but i feel satisfied with a point. Although i have one slight concern and that is Ronnie Worster, i just don't feel the confidence throughout the backline with him as much as Tony Tucker.

So onwards and upwards boys and lets get a win at home on tuesday night against Enfield Town.

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!

I thought a draw is a fair point. Both teams had chances, both teams shared possession and I thought both teams gave a good performance.

Ok we drew today, but having won 7 points out of 9 and only let in 1 goal in 4 games, you cannot complain.

I also think that ronnie worster did not have a bad game. His kicking was poor in the second half, but he has came in for a one-off game and done what was needed to do. The goal conceded wasn't his fault.

I know it wasn't his fault its just i feel there is a lack of confidence with him. He is a quality keeper and the reason him and the defence don't seem to click could just be a tiny genetic problem. He played okay today he is a great bloke. He just needs experience!

I thought 1 all was a fair result for us & them. 50/50 all over the ground, bar, tea hut, stands, & goals.

I even called the BCCSC to let them hear our fans sing and chant in the 2nd half & they were behind us all the way.

I thought a draw was probably about right.

First half was pretty even although we definitely had the better chances, Walker making a couple of very fine saves.

I thought they dominated possession after the break, especially for the first half hour, quite a surpise given the way our midfield have performed of late. The substitutions we made certainly opened the game up and a good goal from us. Disappointing to concede from the long throw - It seems to be a weapon at all levels of football these days.

We had a couple of decent chances after that to nick the win, but I'm not too unhappy with a point. Maidstone looked a decent side. Another tough challenge next Saturday against Staines but at least we can go into these games confident we are capable of getting a result.

Come on you Blues!!

A good game for the Blues, I feel we should have won, a couple of chances went by, their goal keeper made some good saves and kept them in the game, I

To have the sort of quality coming off the bench that we saw yesterday makes a big difference.

A hard fought game and well earned point. I suppose a key question is how good a barometer Maidstone are of what's needed to achieve and maintain a spot in the play-off zone.

I think that was a fair statement.

Now, if Fergies first half shot had just been 100yards to the right ! I tell ya it was unstoppable grin

NOW I think that was a fair statement. But at least even Fergie agreed.
